i have an old klh r5100 and i love it. the problem is it will stay on standby and when i power it on nothing on the lcd shows up no sound out of nothing .. so i pulled the cover.. wallah a blown fuse on the powersupply board.. no biggy i replaced the fuse plugged it back in, turned it on and pop goes the fuse again.. ive done this 4 times now and it keeps popping the fuse. is the power supply bad? if so where do i get another one i really love this receiver and don't wish to buy a new one.

Answer
This question was hiding in the pool for questions for along time so you may have solved the problem by now.  Have you?

I would guess the power supply had bad or gassy electrolytic caps in the ripple filter section.  They fail earlier than most other components in the set and are very common to cause power supply shut downs.

Repair involves identifying the bad cap, ripping it out and soldering a new one in its place.  The cost might be $100 plus or minus.
