Question
When I press any button on the remote or TV set only the TV menus will pop up.  The power button works on the TV set but everything else only brings up the TV menu. Any idea how to reset the TV or what other options i have outside of buying a new TV?  Thanks

Answer
A reset can be done by unplugging the power cord for at least 3 hours; then power it up again.  

But, I think the tv is defective and needs some testing.  However, this is just a guess because you did not provide a model number which is essential to know the technology of the set.  If you need more, please provide the model number.
