Question
I have an Alesis Multimix8USB mixer that I would like to run through Roland KC 300 keyboard amp. The nominal output of the mixer is +4dBu nominal, +20dBu maximum and the nominal input rating of the amp is -20dBm. It looks like both are measured at 1kHz. I am not versed in how the ratings work and would just like to know if I can use the amp in this manner.

Answer
Should be ok.  The Roland KC 300 has unbalanced inputs and are typical 1v sensitivity.  The Alesis Multimix8USB also has rca unbalanced outputs as well.  So it is a no brainer for connection.

The Alesis Multimix8USB also has USB outs for connection through PC; if you are going that route you must have rca outs on your PC, as well.

Best wishes.
