Question
i cannt get my amp and 2 12's to work i have a 1996 grand am and am trying to put 2 12in insigna subs 1000watt a peice and an insigna amp 2000watt cannt get the light on the amp to come on i am useing a jvc deck that was installed professionally so i dont think thats the promblem can you help me?

My thought is that you don't have the remote wire from the head unit or ignition switch connected to the remote turn on of the amplifier.

The amp needs two 12v connections; one comes through a fuse from the battery and is for high current operation of the amplifier.  The other comes from the ignition or radio unit which turns the amplifier ON.

See if that is the solution.
