Question
i just bought an audio splitter in hopes of taking the music on my laptop and playing through my aiwa nsx-aj100 but when i go to video/audio on the boombox and put the splitters in and plug into my headphone jack, i get nothing. i believe everything is in the right order

Answer
How are you getting the audio out of your laptop?  Best way is to pull it off the headphone jack.  You do not need a splitter. Just a cable that will go from the stereo headphone out on the pc to the inputs of the Aiwa.  Since the input jacks on the nsx-aj100 are of the RCA phone jack style you need a cable with headphone jack on one end and stereo rca on the other; red to right channel and white to left channel input and set the Aiwa for aux input.

OK?
