Question
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and a delco head unit.  I was wondering if it was possible to replace the radio with an aftermarket stereo without the use of expensive adaptors.  I am not afraid to cut wires if I need to.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
if the radio is normal  any harness from walltmart will work
if this is the RDS radio, with chime and warnings, no you have to buy
the expensive wiring if not is going to cost a lot of money in repair
in a few weeks or months
