Question
I installed a new stereo in my 95 530i bmw and it powered on but aux and cd had no sound, i then connected all the blue wires together and it work.  Then i was putting the stereo back in ther dash and it turned off and i cannot get it to power back on. I checked fuses but all were good. Are there any other fuses im not checking, fuse on the stereo is not blown and also the stock stereo will not power on.

Answer
Check the main fuses in the car both under the dash and up front near the batter compartment.

You may need a voltmeter to check for the main 12v line. It may have become disconnected or even shorted out when you were sliding the radio back into the mounting slot.

You can buy a nice little voltmeter that is ideal for this kind of work at Walmart or Home Depot for under $10 and they are easy to use. It may be the key to helping you solve the mystery.
