Question
i have a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe with a flip down dvd and it has sound but no picture  some times it works if I turn it on with the remote but now that doesnt work either and I tryed new batteries and still nothing

Answer
It is difficult to say for sure. My best guess is the laser diode has worn down and cannot any longer produce the video data stream.  If this is the case about the only wise solution would be to replace the dvd player.  Since this is probably an add-on unit you must determine its model number and find an equivalent replacement unit.
