Audio Systems/Stuck CD...

Question
I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo with a 6 disc CD changer.  I recently put a brand new store bought CD in as CD No. 2.  It never played the CD but instead started making some strange noises.  I immediately tried to eject the CD but it never ejected.  The first disc came out fine.  Now the problem is, it isn't even reading as though there is a CD in there.  Does disconnecting the battery really work or is there another suggestion I can try short of taking the whole stereo out?

Answer
Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes may help as it will allow the mechanism inside the changer to relax and reset.

But, if that does not cure the problem you may need to pull the changer/head unit out, open it up and manually remove the disc while searching for the cause of the jam up.

Here are some other ideas to try - that may help before you start tearing the unit apart!

And, you can google for other ideas.

Hope you arrive at success.
