Question
I have a samsung ht-tz512 home theater. i can not get tv sound to play through my speakers. i have followed the manual instructions. and even purchased a optical cable. no sound.

Answer
From what you've described, I can only think of a couple of things;

1 - while rare and unlikely, the optical cable could be bad.

2 - the optical output is not turned on from your TV's menu settings.

Other than that, it's difficult to say without being there to troubleshoot. I hope this helps.
