QUESTION: weird as in sounds like it is changing from cd to cd continuously even w/out being started all I have to do is open either door or I just found out the other day just can unlock or lock the doors. Heck it can be doing it all night long for all i know

Answer
that is a data error not a defective radio, this vehicle computer controls all the electric system including the radio, if locking and unlocking the doors do that you have to go to the dealer  there is a software upgrade for the body control module, if that don't work it will need to be replace,

if you tell them the radio is going crazy , they are going to tell you bad radio just replace it
and couple of weeks later it will do it again, when you go bad for the real repairs and complaint about the $600 radio that was replace for no reason at your expense, they will tell you oops sorry buy a computer now
