Question
I bought the SUV used and had to find a 6 cd magazine for it. Found one, loaded it with cds and it wont recognize the there are cds in the magazine. It just processes thru 1-6 and then shows "no cds" message.

You may need to replace the changer.  After they age the change mechanism sometimes does not hold up.  Big problem is laser diode goes weak and cannot read the disks.  Maybe that is what has happened in your case.

Above is list of a few changers that might be the right one for your Navigator. Price is $200 and under for replacement.  You cannot get one repaired for any less.

PS: You may need to consult with a Navigator technical person about the installation; some automobile cd changers require the right sequence of installation so as not to damage some of the internal circuitry.  You can send question to Ernesto on this same allexpert section who has deep experience with installations.
