Question
Hi I have a 03 Ford Taurus how do u hook up the remote wire to ur cigarette outperform and is it safe to do that or is there somewhere better in the trunk to do so would like the help for the best power spot . Thanks

Answer
Do I understand correctly that you have installed an amplifier in the trunk and want to power it up when the head unit comes on?

According to the site here:

http://www.modifiedlife.com/2003-ford-taurus-car-radio-stereo-wiring-diagram/

the remote wire coming out of the car wiring bundle is black/pink.  You should attach an extension wire to that and run it back to the amplifier in the trunk....

You want the power amp to come on when the head unit comes on. If you were to wire it permanently to the lighter outlet it would not be a good solution.

Hope this helps.
