Audio Systems/Ipod and/or Satellite upgrade for 2003 Chevy Tahoe

Question
I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with the Bose Premium Sound System & 6 Disc CD changer. I have been trying to research how to add on to this system and I am a bit confused. You answered a previous question related to this and listed two interfaces that may work. I am interested in the Pie PA11-GM Chevrolet/Chevy 2000-2007 to Ipod Interface but in looking at the details I have 2 questions.

1) Can you continue to use the 6 CD changer after installing this interface? (the details state this interface will be plugged into the CD changer outlet and the controls for the changer will work for the Ipod.)

2) Is there a way to also add a satellite radio to the system along with the Ipod or will I have to choose one or the other?

Thank you for your time.

Answer
you do not lose any functions from the factory radio

Not all 2003 are satellite ready  if it is  you can add satellite radio to the factory checvrolet radio
you will need a factory xm tunner and wiring
or a xm kit from pioneer made to work with the tahoe radio

If you add the ipod interface, the aftermarket xm needs to be unplug, if you have factory xm they can work together

xm1 for sat
and xm2 for ipod
