I have an 02 eddie bauer explorer and the stereo doesn't have mp3 or xm sirius capabilities. if i found a newer say 04 cd changer with those features would it fit and or harness be compatible?

But, you can update your present system.  Just go to this URL and look down through the add-ons available for the 02 explorer.
