Question
If I REPLACE MY 6 DISK CD PLAYER WITH A 1 DISK CD PLAYER WILL MY ONSTAR SYSTEM STILL BE ACTIVE?

Answer
You did not give me any car make/model and system information to go on; they are all different over the years and models.

But, my question to you is why don't you leave everything as is and just use an MP3 or iPod player into the system?

My suggestion to you is to go to crutchfield.com and work through their "outfit my car" sequence and it can lead you to what is compatible and what will work and what will not.

Also, go to installer.com where you can find ipod adapters and other equipments for enhancing the features and functions.

And, finally, if you go to http://www.oemautosound.com/default.aspx? you can study what oem units are available for your car.

Hope this will get you started.
