Question
Hi I have a problem with 2004 nissan maxima sound system. When I play cd speakers on the left side dont work. They work fine when I play radio or tape.I dont know what could be the problem can you help me please. Thanks

Answer
CD player portion is defective and has lost the channel feed to the amplifiers.  It could be internal to the cd circuitry or if the changer is mounted in the trunk it could be an open or broken cable.  Maxima had 3 different audio systems available for 04 so you should check for where the cd changer is located. If the cd player mechanism is inside the head unit you may have to replace the entire unit.  If you have the Bose system expect the repair to be difficult!  The Bose systems are not compatible with any other system components or aftermarket products.
