Audio Systems/AUX input

Question
Hi Ernesto!
I have 2001y Jeep Grand Cherokee 2,7 CDI with the original car audio system. Unfortunately there is no brand printed on it only the chrysler logo. I thing it is 1,5 din
Car stereo includes radio FM, CD player and tape player.
Unfortunately the CD player does not read MP3 format. On the back side is also original input connector for CD-Changer. I do  not have the CD changer. I heard somewhere that it is possible to make AUX input connector out of this CD-C input connector. In that case I can connect MP3 player to my car stereo and my big problem will be solved.
I am asking you if this is possible and in that case how it is possible to do this. I can also not find anywhere some plans for those wires on the back which wire means what and what should I connect together to make this Idea real and to make my stereo that it will recognize some new audio source, because the stereo also wont  put me through in the button for changing the source from CD to CD-C when nothing is connected behind.
Please can you help me anyway and maybe you have also some other solutions.
I thank you in forward for your help
Best regards
Goran

Answer
Yes there is a way, the plug in the back of the Jeep radio is for the factory cd changer
there is no way to connect cables and make it work the radio is not going to open the port and allow audio if the cd changer is not present
the other way to make this work is by using an auxiliary audio input interface made for the Jeep cherokee radio
this are simple to connect once you install one in to the vehicle use the CDC button and press it twice radio will display 1-1 and will play your mp3 or any external audio source
