Audio Systems/'94 Jeep with no radio reception

Question
I just bought a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.  The car is fully loaded and has the factory Infinity sound system(has the graphic equalizer and single CD player).
The LEDs for the main radio display are out, but the unit powers on and the equalizer and other buttons, etc. light up.  The power antennae goes up/down with the radio power on/off.
CDs will play fine and the sound is wonderful. However, there is nothing from the radio but low static that can be heard when the volume is turned up to maximum.
Pressing the AM/FM button makes no difference.
Pushing the seek button causes the static to stop for a few moments and then resume as though the receiver is searching for the next station to lock on to.
I saw your previous response to a similar question concerning moisture damaging the amp.  But, since the CD works there is obviously no problem with the amp.
Could there be a separate fuse that is just for the radio section?
Could the antennae be disconnected and cause this problem(although that would not cause the display not to light - separate issues?)?
Thanks for your help.

Answer
separate issues? yes
the fm tuner is not that bad in this radio  display needs to be repair about the fm i will remove the radio and look at the antenna connection
it is possible that the previous owner  remove a cd changer or fm modulator for a dvd
