Question
-------------------------
Followup To Please frogive my ignorance, that's why I am coming to you.  It is a Factory Toyota 16810 single cd, cassette and am/fm radio.  I have owned the car for 2 1/2 years, never a problem, but on Saturday, everything was fine, I got in my car Sunday and only the cd works, the radio stops on stations when scanning, but nothing plays. When I go the tape function, the display says "play", but nothing is playing and I cannot fast forward or rewind, which makes me think it is jammed.  I believe there is 4 speakers, one on each of the front door panels and two in the back window.  I can put in a cd and it plays fine, so I don't understand it.  Thanks for your help.
Question -
Have a 99 Toyota Camry, the radio won't play anything, there is a cassette in the cassette deck, won't eject, upon hitting eject button, transfers over to radio, but nothing but static comes out of speakers.  CD works fine.

is this a 6 disc or single cd radio, do you have 4 or 6 speakers ? is this the toyota jbl radio ?

it sound like the tape got stuck but the radio needs to work  when you press the fm button

Answer
If the face of the radio gets hit one button can get stuck and part of the radio don't respond THE tape deck but not the fm tunner, most likely you have a ttl cmost  problem  radio needs to be repair this is not a simple problem that you can fix or radio needs to be exchange
