Hi - my AIWA receiver DV-577 now shows no display when plugged in to outlet.. only red light to show power is on.  I hear "clicking" noise when pushing the on button, but no display.  Owners manual is no help.  can you?

sounds like it's in 'protect' mode for one or more problems. if you've had a storm go through lately, it's probably in the power supply section or the microprocessor control probably took a spike. otherwise it could be in the amplifier output section. without a model-specific schematic, there's not much you can do without taking it to a professional. you should be able to get it done for around $100.
