I have a Alpine 6-disc changer in my car, a 2001 BMW the cd changer sends no discs message even though disc magazine is full and properly loaded it will eject magazine properly won't play discs when I took the cover off it appears that it is not pulling the discs out as it runs through cd-check

the cartridge probably isn't engaging the switch that tells the electronics that the cartridge is loaded fully. there's adjustments for this, but they need to be aligned by a professional so that damage is not done to mechanisim. hopefully you have a qualified servicer in your area, otherwise you will have to ship it out.
