Audio Systems/Audio source stuck

Question
I recently had a tape stuck in the tape deck of my '93 BMW 740
factory system.  I eventually had to pull the tape out with force.
Now, the system seems to think that the tape is still in.  I cannot
switch to the CD or Radio funcions.  How can I convince this thing
that there is no longer a tape in there?!?  Thanks!

Answer
hi:
the metal case of the tape inside the radio needs to be up
the only way is by opening the radio take the radio out two small allen screws on each side of the radio to open the radio 2 phillips screws in the back
when the radio is open right side of cassette to the back there is a metal plate take it of and turn the wheel at the same time close the big spring on the right side of cassette until the tape deck goes up radio will work again
deck needs to be clean and a new belt
good lcuk
