-----Question-----
where can i find information on technical manual for above and its tuner preset memory has gone volatile how to rectify it.
-----Answer-----
google 'sanyo owners manual', 'sanyo parts', 'sanyo dcf210', 'dcf210' etc. i order my sanyo/fisher parts through tritronicsinc.com, but you should be able to find it online. happy hunting!!

Answer
it uses an 'eeprom'(electronically erasable programmable read only memory) chip to store all the settings and presets. keep searching, i find what info i need most of the time for free, but if the only way you can find costs a few bucks, well go ahead and get it. only thing i've had to pay for in years was a schematic for a mid 70's studio mixer. as far as replacing the eeprom, (is needed from time to time in some equipment, mainly tv's) you will have to have a schematic to identify it and get part number anyway. of course, i don't have any schematics, i'm retired.
