Question
My 2001 Nissan Pathfinder has a 6 disc changer and all I get is a clicking noise now when I insert a disc.  It worked fine up until about 5 months ago.  Is it worth fixing or should I swap it out?

Answer
Hi Randall,
Sounds like is either a dirty head or a tracking problem, the machine is having problems finding the index or track zero and that's the noise you hear is the head moving back and foward before failing and ejecting, try a lazer head cleaning disc first then unit out, top off and check for crap in the works, do NOT poke about in the works (blow only) or you will knock the head off track and it is nackered from there on.
All else fails, (these units can have a short life of 3 to 4 years max. due to vibration and dust), take it to a repairer or bin it and get a new one.

p.s. don't forget the feedback so I know how it went.P
