Question
I have a cd stuck in my player. It will not eject.
Looking into the slot I can see a slender chrome rod running vertically on both the left and right sides of the slot. It appears that these two rods may be preventing the cd from ejecting. Advise if you can. Thanking you in advance, Walt

Answer
Hello walt,
The pins that you are seeing through the CD slot are there on purpose. They prevent someone from trying to insert a second CD when A CD is already loaded. The problem that I repair most often in these CD units is with the gripper rollers and the drive gears. On several of these CD units I found stripped gear/s in the load assembly.
