I have an 01 Ford Expedition.  The changer (its a 6 disk changer that is mounted in the center console) does not work anymore.  It will not "pull" the CD's out of the magazine into the player.  The magazine still goes into the changer just fine.  The gears/motor seem to work, doing a quick look, everything seems to be in working order. Any ideas?

there is a problem with the internal loading mechanisim that only an experienced auto sound repair shop technician should attempt. sure, it's probably a broken plastic tab on an arm designed to remove cds, but getting it apart enough to id and replace the part and realign the whole mechanisim again and then reassemble the unit, is quite the job. repair shop will run somewhere near $150, you might want to consider visiting a junkyard for a used changer.....
