Question
Hello, I have a 1998 Ford Escort SE, with the factory radio / tape player. I just bought this car, and the tape player does not work! When I try and push a tape in, it pops back out, not electronically pushed out if that makes sense, the player just wont hold the tape. And if I try to HOLD the tape in, and press the tape button to get it to play, it says NO TAPE!

Any suggestions?

Answer
it's not worth getting fixed for around $150, which is about what it would cost. if you want the simplest fix, go to your local junkyard and get the exact thing, but it may or may not work.(junkyards will let you keep exchanging 'till you get one that works)suggestion? get new unit....and it sounds by your symptoms that a tape was put in backwards.......
