Audio Systems/Cd player quit, just ejects cd's..

Question
I have a JVC KD-SX650 that i bought some years ago. I had some engine problems and the car has sat for around 2 years, got it going the other day and the cd player no longer works. Radio is fine but everytime i put a cd in (only store bought) it tries for a second then spits it out. I've not noticed any strange noises, but have seen that the position i put the disk in when it comes out is just slightly different. It only seems to turn about a quarter before ejecting. Any tips would be helpful as i miss listening to my music.

Thanks,
Carl

Answer
Sounds like you have a faulty mech' try 'reset' and failing that remove it and carefully remove the lid and see what is happening, sometimes it's obviuous what's up, could just be a bit of gung in the slot. If all else fails there is bay item 5873905818 $40, save time and get it, cheaper that a repair.
