Audio Systems/Damaged RCA cable

Question
My kids play a golf video game that plugs directly into the TV.  The video cable was very touchy for a while and now it does not work at all.  Is it possible to splice in a new video cable in place of the damaged RCA cable?

Answer
there's two ways you can go to avoid all sorts of interference to the picture, either replace the rca plug on the end,(requires soldering) or open the unit up and replace the whole cable.(also requires soldering) sorry, but the cable is shielded and just trying to splice in to it will cause lots of interference....
