Audio Systems/External Audio Source

Question
Could you please tell me where the External Audio Source is located on a 1999 Ford Taurus? The Taurus has a factory radio with a cassette player.
The reason I am asking is, I'm going to be hooking up my iPod using a Peripheral Electronics converter. According to them I am suppose to disconnect the External Audio Source in order for the iPod to work properly.

If you could give me an answer it would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Answer
the external audio source is your factory cd changer it needs to be remove
if you don't have one the plug is in the trunk  left side behind the carpert  it is a 13 pin plug in a big  metal box on the floor

the peripheral interface is been having a lot of problems lately  and it is one of the worse adapters out  but if you have  go ahead and try it  if this unit is a couple of months old, call peripheral they are replaing them for free if the units are still under warranty 1 year
that way you can get the better unit with the new software version,
if you didn't purchase one  i will suggest you look in to
a usa specs, pie interface or dice electronics

good luck
