Audio Systems/Ford Radio Display

Question
Ernesto, Ciao:

I followed the instructions you gave someone else regarding the removal of the power board just left of the CD changer in the 1999 ford radio with intermittent display.

I got the radio out ok, took the top off, removed the screw in the rear attached through the case and into a brass looking fitting. However, the board seems to be held by something else.

Also, on my unit, there is a metal shroud over the power board.

Just fiddling with trying to get it out brought back the display, so I'm assuming it is a cold solder joint.

If I can get the board out...I can solder.

Thanks,

Ralph

Answer
