when i put a cd into the Cd player it says play for about 10 seconds then it says eject and ejects it. i tried cleaning the lens with a q tip like the other guy said but it still doesnt work.and it seems that other people are having the same problem.. any solution?

there's much more that can go wrong other than a dirty pickup lens.....cd clamp can be dirty allowing disc to slip, the laser slides may have gotten dirty allowing pickup to not move smoothly, laser electronic focusing may need alignment and many other things can and do fail. why not avoid the service nightmare an replace it.....always the best solution, fix one thing and more breaks down...it's murphy's law.....
