Audio Systems/Jaguar CD player stuck

Question
Hi:

I have a 2003 Jaguar X-Type with an OEM CD player (in-dash). There appears to be a cde stcuk and it will not eject. I would prefer not to bring to the delaership as they charge $110 an hour and they say it will tak two hours. I would replace the stereo but there isn't anything tat fits and it works great when functioning. The dispaly shows it is stuck on track 00 and when I press eject, it says "ejecting CD" but the cd does not eject. I cannot hear the ejection motor trying to kick in either. Not sure whether it is busted, it became stuck when I scanned forward a cuple of songs. If it is busted, I wopuld prefer to buy a new OEM stereo on eBay and have teh dealership install rather than have them take a look for $220 and then tell me it won't work and I need it replaced anyway. Speakers, steering column stereo controls and radio all work fine.

many thansk,

Emmet

Answer
hi
stay away from the delaer lol
the best thing to do is to go to car audio repair store
look for  alpine service center, your radio was made by alpine
and have them repair the unit  also ebay   you don't know what you are buying and no warranty
if the radio can not be repair go to www.oemautosound.com
they carry oem car stereos

about the radio problem
it looks like the cd move off track and got stuck ,also sometimes  there is a paper label sticker on the cd and they get stuck inside the radio
good luck
