Audio Systems/Kenwood Stereo Installation

Question
I currently have a 96 Land Rover.  I took out the factor stereo (just got tired of the tape deck) and want to install a Kenwood KDC419.  This radio was previously installed in my 97 Honda Accord.  My problem is connect the Land Rover wires with the Kenwood.  The Kenwood is a 16 pin and the existing Land Rover wiring is a 10 pin.  I got fed up and cut of the connector and pulled up the manual for the Kenwood but the colors in the manual are not the same colors in the Land Rover.  What do I do?  Please help me I am going insane without a radio in my vehicle.

My other issue  is that my keyless remote light was blinking.  I figured it was indicating me to change the battery (viper) so I did.  Change the battery and it still blinks and don't open the doors.  What do I need to do to get this thing to work?

Thank you

Answer
just buy the land rover radio plug and you can match all the wire color codes

about the alarm  if the light on the vehicle is flashing  it is ok
if the light on the remote is flashing  you need to take it apart and clean it you got water or some other liquid inside

after the light is off and only works when you press the button but is not controling the alarm , in that case you need to program the remote again
i need the model of the alarm and i will send you the instructions
good luck
