Question
I just installed the model above in my 1995 ford windstar.  The problem is when I turn the radio on, it stays on for a few minutes then it shuts off and comes back on.  I checked all hookups to make sure there wasn't anything bare or touching ground.

Answer
Hi Carmine,

As my profile states, I'm not really an expert in car audio (I focus on pro audio and broadcast audio), but I'll give it a shot...

If this were professional audio equipment, the first thing I would check is to make sure the equipment is not overheating, and that the wiring leading to it is isolated (no shorts, no missing insulation, etc).

This also might be a "feature" of the radio. I'm not familiar with this particular model of radio, but some car stereos turn themselves off automatically after a few minutes if they detect that the ignition is off (to save on battery). Maybe there is some sort of signal cable that needs to be installed?

Hope this helps, or at least gives you something else to try.
