My church's youth group has a Mitsubishi Television Model #VS-5006R (Jan 92).  Problem History:  The owner's dontated the working tv, the youth/adults transported to church.  When it arrived, it did not work.  One of the leaders kicked it and it worked.  Then it stopped.  I have done a general inspection.  No fried circuits or loose connections.  When I turn system on, I can hear and feel it turn on but no video.  When I power down, you can hear and feel it power down.

sounds like it's a bad connection on one of the boards, i would either suspect the power supply board or the sweep board (the one with the high voltage transformer). if you're not not very good with electronics, i would strongly suggest taking it to a shop where they can fix it for you. you will save quite a bit by taking it there and picking it up yourself, just be careful with it.
