Question
Hi, I have 2 15" Pilot Neon Ultralights, and I wanted two know if I could cut off the cigarette lighter plug and connect the wires two a Hifonics amp that I am using to power 2 12's. If this is possible what do I connect the wires to? Thank you.
Hi Skyy,
No. neons need a stable 13.8 dc supply, same reason you cannot fit a dimmer to your florescent in the house. If you want them to come on with the amps instead of having to switch them on separately then you can use a relay near the amp taking the main power from the same cable as the amp and power the relay from the signal wire from the head set.
