Hi Garry, I have an Onkyo tx-ds484 receiver, and while playing the speakers started "popping", and the sound would go off for a minute.  Several days later the speakers would "pop", and the receiver would turn off.  Thanks, Tom

hi. it sounds first off to me that there might be some poor solder connections in the amp section of circuit board. look all around the board near the big heat sink first, then check the rest of the boards if that doesn't fix it. good luck with it, they can be a real pain to find.
