Hi, I bought this stereo for my jeep a number of years ago, and the first year I had the thing it worked like a charm.  But now everything works but the led display in the face plate wont light up so I cant see anything.  What could be the problem and is this repairable or do I need a new stereo?

if you are good at working with very small parts and a good solderer, you might be able to replace the tiny lamps that illuminate faceplate. if it were me, however, i would first contact the mfgr. and order replacement, if none available, go ahead and replace whole unit, seems when you fix a problem here, another headache pops up, and so on.
