Question
I have a 98 chevrolet pickup and a 99 Tahoe. Both have radio static when the engines are running. They are crystal clear when the engines are off. They were ok when new. How do I fix this problem. Thank You.

Answer
Hi Jim.
Strange that BOTH vehicles have the same problem?? Anyway, first I.A. it's usually due to bad earths some where, try a wire directly from the radio chassis to earth on the battery, also check for antenna problems in the cables and earthing. If that fixes it check battery straps etc.
