Audio Systems/Sennheiser Earphones

Question
I was lucky enough to come across a pair of Sennheiser earphones in a yard sale recently. They are HD420SL model.  Knowing basically nothing except that Sennheiser makes a really high end earphone and I needed earphones, I snagged them for a ridiculous price.

Now I have them home and plug them in and the right ear speaker cuts in and out.  I have NO experience in electronics (and I'm a girl LOL), so I'm wondering if these are worthwhile to take to someone to (probably) have them find the loose wire and solder it? Is that how they would be connected?  If so, what kind of repair person or place would I be looking for who could do a job like that.  *NOTE:  *Assuming* of course that these are worth the price of a repair. I try to look them up online and don't see much about this particular model, so maybe they are old?

Any information or suggestions and guidance you can provide would be really appreciated. Thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Kylie,
In the wrong department really but I would advise you to get a friend who has and knows how to use, a test meter to check continuity from jack plug to conections on the back of the speakers before rushing down to some rip of artist as it sounds like a joint or cable problem that could be easy fixed.
