Question
Peter, I am trying to connect an amp to my standard superb head unit which will run a bass tube in the boot. Can you tell me if there are pre-outs on the unit and if not do I have another option other than changing head units?

Answer
Hi Simon,
Ah Skodas, I have had 8 of them, great cars.
As you didn't say which of the several head units that are fitted you have in your Skoda all I can say is pull the radio and see if there is a pair of RCA phono connections on the back (red and white), if so take RCA leads to an amp and all will be good. If not and you only have the ISO DIN connector then you can still use an amp but one with Hi-Level inputs from speaker outputs and 'T' off of one of the rear speakers to the amp's hi-level input.
