Question
In the middle of driving the other night, I lost sound completely in my 2004 Mercedes ML500.  There aren't any issues with the head unit other than the loss of sound and it isn't detecting the CD changer now.  This was all of a sudden and now i'm not sure what to do.  Why would this happen?  Any way you can help would surely be appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
this happens when the cd changer is going bad  it is posible that the radio will play again if not the cd changer needs to be remove and the fiber optic cable loop needs to be plug back with out the cd changer

you can have the cd changer repair or  go here to find a new one
