Question
We own a large T.V. Toshiba big screen. It says Home Theatre on it. Next to the On/Off button is a small red light that blinks. The T.V. will not turn on. The T.V. is not very old. What do you think the cause could be? Thanks, Ron.

it means it's in protective shutdown mode for some reason, could be a bad picture tube, sweep section or power supply failures. you'll save around $120 if you can take it to a shop by yourself, and that's the only reasonable fix for you. be prepared to pay several hundred dollars to have it repaired, as it can easily get to be that much. sorry, but that's the nature of the beast. even just changing the backlight bulb on lcd tv's can be several hundred bucks.
