I want to connect headphones to the TV set so that my wife can hear without driving everyone else out of the house with the high volume.  I can't find a jack for connecting the headphones.  Is there one, and if so, where?

if there's not one obvious, there's not one. there's no safe way to modify the set to hook any up, either. doing so exposes the user to potentially dangerous ac voltages. this should only be done by a qualified technician, which costs more than some sets. if your tv has audio out jacks, you can feed this to the tape or line inputs of any stereo, and use it's headphone jack.
