Question
Hello.  I have an alpine cda9805 unit in my Toyota Tacoma 2002.  It was
installed and was fine for many years but over the past year and 1/2 it will
sometimes randomly not give any sound.  It turns on etc.  I'd say 70-75% of
the time its fine.  So again, the display works, but no sound comes out.
There is a cd stuck in the unit which is not a big deal for me as I don't use it
for cd's just sirius radio and ipod fm transmitter.  I'm wondering if:
--I need to take it somewhere and have a new radio put in.
--Take it somewhere to have them look at it.
--If its a fuse issue or wiring possibly?

Any advice is much appreciated.
thanks,John

Answer
pull the radio out there is a swithc under the radio
that stops the built in amplifier  this switch sometimes gives you a bad contact causing this problem it is call ainet/eq switch
tur it on and off couple of times but needs to stay off
do this with the radio off, ignition off

if this don't work radio needs to be service
or you can install the original toyota radio back in the vehicle  now there are plugs that let you add the ipod  in to the factory radio and display the name of the songs and titles you can also add your sirius radio  to the toyota radio
