Audio Systems/activating car stereo

Question
The car stereo in my Honda Accord has been somehow disabled by
the previous owner of the car... Whenever I try to turn it on, the
unit doesn't respond.  How do i reactivate it?

Answer
Year and model of Accord?
What type of stereo fitted, factory EOM or after market?
Does it come up with "CODE" ?
Are you in touch with the previous owner? could be worth a call.
Some of the radios fitted have a code protection system and if the incorrect code has been entered too many times the set is permantly locked out and needs to be re-activated by a repairer.
If all else fails get a new one, most EOM sets are pretty mundain and a new one and an adaptor lead wouldn't cost much.
