Question
i have a pioneer head unit and im getting a new car next week. i had best buy install my deck, but when i went back to them they said that they would do it for a price. i told them no and decided to do it myself. i have a 97 ford explorer. i bought a installation kit from best buy to fit it in my car. i need help taking it out.

Answer
you need a 'ford radio removal tool', some auto parts stores have them, they consist of 2 'u' shaped sections of stiff wire, notched at the ends which you insert into the 4 holes at corners of radio to release 'catches' about 1.5-2 inches in, then pull on tools like handles and slide radio out. (can be made out of coathanger and file easily)
