mr.Garry i have a newly ebay purchased punch amp(p5002),i am going to install it on two 600wts audiobahn 12's.friends say that i need a capacitor for my amp.do i? and if so what size,0.5 ,1.0, 1 1/2 farad.your help is needed

caps help with the amp's ability to get large amount of current rapidly, to help accurately reproduce high amplitude low frequency signals. more important is the size of power and ground wires. the larger the better, but still get at least a 1 farad cap, mounted as close as reasonably possible to the amp. this will greatly improve low freq response.
